Disney packing has its own rules, and none of them are about matching outfits. You’re walking ten miles a day in central Florida weather that changes its mind three times before lunch. Pack for that reality and the magic takes care of itself.
Documents & Money
☐ Park tickets or passes linked in the app, plus a screenshot as backup
☐ Photo ID for anyone over 18 (required for alcohol purchases at the resorts and parks)
☐ Credit card plus $20 to $40 in cash, for tips and the balloon guy
☐ Dining reservation confirmation numbers, screenshotted in case the app has a moment
☐ Resort confirmation details, same reason

☐ Phone, fully charged before you leave the room
☐ Portable charger, 10,000mAh minimum, the app runs your whole day and it drains fast
☐ Charging cable that actually matches your park wearable, some use a different cable than your phone does, check before you pack
☐ Multi-port charger for the hotel room, outlets are never where you need them
Park Bag Daily Essentials
☐ Rain poncho, one per person, every single day regardless of forecast
☐ Sunscreen, SPF 30 or higher
☐ Refillable water bottle, free ice water is available at every quick service counter
☐ Hand sanitizer and wet wipes
☐ Snacks that survive a hot bag, granola bars and crackers over anything that melts
☐ Blister pads and basic pain reliever
☐ Sunglasses and a hat
Clothing & Footwear
☐ Broken-in walking shoes, two pairs to rotate, never debut new shoes on a park day
☐ A light layer for evenings, parks stay open past dark and temperatures drop
☐ Moisture-wicking clothing over cotton, Florida humidity is not a myth
☐ A cooling towel or neck fan for peak summer trips
Toiletries & Comfort
☐ Deodorant, travel size, you will reapply
☐ A hand towel or sweat rag, more useful than it sounds
☐ Packing cubes, especially with more than two people sharing a room
☐ Over-the-counter basics, allergy medicine, stomach relief, whatever your family typically needs
Common Mistakes
☐ Debuting brand new shoes on day one and spending the trip in blister pads
☐ Packing one poncho for the whole week instead of one per person per day
☐ Forgetting the wearable’s charging cable is different from a standard phone cable
☐ Assuming the forecast is wrong because it’s sunny at breakfast, Florida afternoon storms show up whether you planned for them or not
